Star Trek
I can't help it. I have to save this somewhere. This is possibly the most perfectly done video mashup I have ever seen. Yes, it's warped. Yes, it's horribly, horribly wrong. It truly is the final frontier...
Warning: If images of Spock stalking Kirk inexorably through the halls of the Enterprise with dark sexual intent would freak you out and / or you have objections to the word "Fuck" being used repeatedly in song lyrics it leave now. You have been warned.

Where do we go from here?
Phase one is complete; I managed to survive 2008. Update - netted around $22,000 in eight months, worked myself into the ground doing it, and met about five hundred awesome people.
I now have friends in New York, Rhode Island, Nevada, Indiana, Illinois, Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, India, and everywhere else you can imagine. Best of all, they GET me and the whole writing thing, snce most of them are writers too.
Helium is still on my roster. I'm a very active provider on Elance, and pick up quite a nice bundle of work from private clientele as well. I'm up from $5 an article to $25-$50.
I have a stable of peeps - we call ourselves the hack writers' guild, and I'm teaching them the ropes. It's the least I can do after all the encouragment I got last year!
Planning the launch of my own freelance firm and learning site in early 2010 - this year is for setup. I have huge plans for my future, and want to pay it forward, so I think I'll take as many peeps as I can with me!
2008 was great, 2009 will be better, and I can't wait for 2010! here's to success, whwerever we find it and whatever it means to us.

Typing in My Sleep
OK, you've heard of faling asleep with your eyes open, or talking in your sleep, right?
I pulled a twenty hour day and was up till 3 AM working on some articles for a Hungarian Real Estate site.
As the witching hour neared, I began to nod off at my keyboard, and dreaming strange, disjointed dreams. This resulted in sentences like:
"The real estate market in Hungary has been unprecedented in recent years, with Oreos for the baby to eat in the woods while the wolf came by and the tree had green and gold leaves...."
....and so on.
DELETE. Start over. SIGH.
LOL!
